Veteran shades LIV Golf’s first tournament

The much-talked about and off-air LIV Golf has just completed its first tournament. And at least one veteran player was not impressed.

Shortly after the event was completed, Eddie Pepperell - a two-time winner of the DP Tour announced that, in his view, the money flowing into the LIV Golf far exceeded the standard of play.

Pepperell's take is surprising, albeit a small one. Some of the current PGA Tour stars - such as Bryson

DeChambeau and Dustin Johnson are not good. But as we speak, the most prominent names in LIV Golf are players with their best days

Having said that, there were low points. Charl Schwartzel - winner of the 2011 Masters - won the event, finishing in seventh place under a three-day tournament
