Tony Finau nearly shoots 57 on an 8,100-yard course in the 'video game' round
Less than a week away from the Presidents Cup,
Less than a week away from the Presidents Cup, Tony Finau appears to be halfway through his season — or maybe even better.
In a casual Friday round at the Jack Nicklaus-designed Painted Valley Golf Course in Park City, Utah, Finau shot a course-record 60 at 8,100 yards.
Although Finau is one of the PGA Tour's most humble players, the 33-year-old four-time Tour winner humbly boasted about his latest feat.
“60 off the back tees is silly if I do say so myself.
A video of Finau's lap was then posted on TeamFinau's Instagram. And you'll see in the video
that his 60 could easily have been even lower.
He had three oysters during his round. Still, Finau headed into the final hole with a chance at 59.
after birdieing the par-5 17th. However, his mid-range putt for 59 went left of the hole and he carded a 60.
While this round didn't come on the PGA Tour, it should serve as the perfect confidence booster for next week's Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow,
