Shohei Ohtani is well known for his ability to produce some of the most amazing stats in baseball.
During the Angels' 11-7 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday, the reigning major league MVP went 4/5 — including a two-run homer and a triple.
His home run is his 27th of the season and his four RBIs brought his season total to 72.
The MLB world took to Twitter to react to this incredible one-game performance by Ohtani.
While it was an excellent personal
outing for the Japanese-born superstar, many fans pointed to the fact that the Angels still lost.
wrote one fan."If that are not describe the Angels franchise perfectly, we know what lol,"
"And he lost. The best player in the league needs HELP!" another joined.
"Ohtani is a wasted phenom, playing in a waste of effort in front of 15 people," said another.
Despite boasting two of the brightest stars in modern baseball
Ohtani and Mike Trout -- the Angels are in fourth place in the AL West with a 51-67 record.
