Rafael Nadal has been called out by his US Open fourth-round opponent Frances Tiafoe, who believes he can overcome the Spaniard.

The youngster took on the 22-time Grand Slam champion after seeing off Diego Schwartzman in his third-round match on Saturday.

" I'm definitely going after him,"Now I believe I can beat him  " exclaimed Tiafoe, "[I need to] match his intensity from the first point to the last.

You can't have any dips - he's taking advantage of that." Tiafoe was made to work for his win over Schwartzman

after being broken twice in the first set. But he recovered to win the showdown 7-6 6-4 6-4.

And the 24-year-old American added: "I thought it was a hell of a match. It had everything. Two breaks down, serve again at 6-5,

I he was down 6-3 in the breaker. Unbelievable how I even won the set." Meanwhile, Nadal stormed into the fourth round at Flushing Meadows

after a masterclass against Richard Gasquet, winning the match 6-0 6-1 7-5. And the legendary player appears to be finding form at the right time
