Patrick Cantlay took a one-shot lead into the final round of the BMW Championship Patrick Cantlay shot an under-par 65 on Saturday to jump to the top of the leaderboard

and reach the final round at the BMW Championship at Wilmington Country Club by one shot. Cantlay, who shares the day's best score with three others,

is 12-under 201 after 54 holes. Scott Stallings and Xander Schauffele are tied for the second shot back after matching 66s in the third round.

Second-round leader Adam Scott (69)and  Scottie Scheffler (68) are tied for fourth at 10 under, two shots back.

Collin Morikawa and Aaron Wise (67)d  are tied for sixth, three shots back. Morikawa also fired a 65 to put himself in contention on a rolling day.

Cantlay made three birdies before things got interesting on the back. He went bogey-birdie-birdie-eagle on four consecutive holes before ending the round

with a bogey-birdie. Cantlay missed a three-foot putt from carding a 64, bogeying No. 17 instead. "The greens are a little  up and it probably wasn't a good shot,

Thats why I am going to take care of that after the round, get some practice in," Cantlay said. “It's very different from me and things like that happen.
