The PGA Tour could well be left red-faced as LIV Golf rebel Cameron Smith is in the running for the US Tour Player of the Year award.

Smith could still be named the 2022 PGA Tour Player of the Year after being nominated alongside world number one Scottie Scheffler and FedEx Cup champion Rory McIlroy.
