After 16 years at CBS, Nick Faldo is hosting his final PGA Tour event this weekend at the Wyndham Championship.
It was understandably an emotional experience for Sir Nick, who was as much a mainstay on the air as he was on the pitch during his playing days.
It's fitting that CBS gave Faldo a moving send-off, and he's also paying tributes aplenty on social media.
Before hitting the airwaves, Faldo, 65, had 30 wins on the European Tour and nine on the PGA Tour in a professional career that spanned nearly four decades.
Those nine PGA Tour victories included six major titles: Faldo won the Masters in 1989, 1990 and 1996 and the Open in 1987, 1990 and 1992.
He also finished tied for second at the PGA Championship and earned a single runner-up
finish at the 1988 US Open. In addition to his six wins, Faldo posted 20 top 10s at majors
We wish Faldo the best in his retirement from announcing and hope he finds his way back to our televisions sometime in the future during a golf tournament.
