Day will likely qualify for his FedEx St. Jude Championship next week in Memphis, the first of his three FedEx Cup Playoffs his event.
Day entered this week at his 115th place on his list of points, with the top 125 advancing to their first playoff event.
Day has a reputation for retiring from tournaments, often due to injury, as his body is becoming fragile.
All in all, the illness is less of a concern than a back injury when it comes to pitching him again next week.It's the 12th WD in Day's career,
