Carter selected to the AFCA Good Works team

DeWayne Carter was named to the 2022 Allstate American Football Coach Association (AFCA) Good Works Team.

Carter is one of only 22 student-athletes and one coach honoree nationwide to be selected to this prestigious team.

Carter is expected to graduate from Duke in May 2023 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in education. A 2021 All-ACC and Academic All-ACC

and CoSIDA Academic All-Region selection, Carter currently holds a 3.48 cumulative grade point average.

Athlete Connection Group, which is responsible for providing valuable feedback to NCAA representatives on various rules and regulations for all Division

Carter also spent time with Duke's First Year ACTION Mentor program, mentoring students- first-year athletes and helping them.

Since arriving at Duke, Carter has been spending time with the Durham chapter of Habitat for Humanity, working to build homes for deserving families in the area.
