Bryson DeChambeau is one of the bigger names LIV Golf has lured from the PGA Tour in recent months.
On Tuesday night, DeChambeau appeared on Fox News' Tucker Carlson Tonight to discuss his decision to join LIV.
After Carlson asked about the PGA Tour instituting a ban on all golfers who jumped, DeChambeau awkwardly tried to compare it to competition between rival pizzerias.
"But it's funny. It's so weird because it's like -- let's use that as a reference. I heard it earlier this week.
You have a pizza shop that has been around for 50 years. And all the customers come in and it's a great product
.Suddenly a new pizza shop opens there, right?
"And they start paying customers attention to come eat at them,
and the pizza is potentially a little better than the pizza, right? And then all of a sudden the original pizzeria disappears
The problem with this comparison is, of course, obvious. DeChambeau was never a consumer or customer of the PGA Tour; was an employee.
