It's been a rough year for Rodgers and the Packers, who currently have one of the worst records in the NFL at 3-6 after a recent loss

The Packers took a big gamble last season when they decided to trade superstar receiver Davante Adams, Rodgers' most trusted target.

Adams was sent to the Las Vegas Raiders for first- and second-round draft picks because the Raiders would give him a five-year contract extension along with a hefty salary.

It's a gamble that didn't pay off as none of their receivers, including the high-draft Christian Watson, were able to step in for Adams.

Rodgers has played at an elite level the last two seasons, winning back-to-back MVP awards, with a dramatic decline this season.

But even if he will be disappointed with his play, much of the blame falls on the ability around him rather than his own decline.

Even so, with the season now looking like it's going nowhere, the Packers may be forced to decide to finally hand the reigns in the first round of the 2020 draft to Jordan Love.
