Nurses Day 2022

Celebrate International Nurses Day

Nurses are the quiet caregivers of our community who work in the shadows and treat people on a daily basis. People who take up this profession can be considered true heroes in our community who care for the sick and help them get back on their feet. Nurses have made significant contributions to humankind throughout history and continue to do so. Globally, International Nurses Day is celebrated on March 12 in recognition of its contribution.

Nurse day

Event history

The International Council of Nurses has established and celebrated this day since 1965. Although Dorothy Sutherland made a proposal to President Eisenhower in 1953 to introduce a date to celebrate and acknowledge all those unemployed souls working as nurses, the application was rejected. It was not until later in 1965 that the day came to truly celebrate and commemorate the valuable contributions nurses make to society.

In some countries such as the USA, National Nurses’ Day is celebrated on 6 May, which marks the beginning of National Nurses Week ending on May 12 – which coincides with the birthday of “Lady with the Lamp” – Florence Nightingale.

Ways to say “thank you”

All over the world, nurses continue to rescue depressed people and care for them. If you happen to know someone who is a nurse, it is time to thank that person. Although the modern picture of nurses has changed dramatically and is very close to that of health professionals, the basic principles remain the same.

If you have been to a hospital, where you are being cared for by a nurse, you can show your appreciation by sending a card on Nurses’ Day. To appreciate the effort and dedication of the person who took care of you back to a healthy pink, you can choose a card with a suitable message that conveys your heartfelt feelings. If you happen to know something about this nurse’s love, you can also send gift baskets to show your gratitude.

Time to recognize the efforts

Nurses Day is a way for people to understand how important this work is in maintaining the foundation of this community. We all need to talk a lot in our support of the people in this work, and this day is the best time of the year to do it. A few organizations around the world are trying to protect the rights of people in the nursing profession and aim to provide them with a better working environment.

Therefore, let us promise our unwavering support to all these wonderful people and give thanks to these shining souls.

Nurses are a good example

Every single “thank you note” that can bring a smile to someone who has been a Nurse is also a good example. They show kids how to treat other people well and lead them as an example. re to you in an hour of need. Keep making this nursing day a success.

There are many ways nurses can show appreciation for each other. Another way is to send flowers to a colleague. One way is to make a donation to an organization of your choice. You can even volunteer to assist at a local hospital.

Nurses are one of the most dedicated people out there. They devote their lives to helping others, especially those who are in need.
